How To Link Your NIN To Your MTN Number To Avoid Being Blocked

The Nigerian Communication Commission NCC recently announced that all SIMs be linked to their National Identification Number NIN to avoid their SIM card from being blocked.

The recent development is coming due to the high level of insecurity in the country. As stated initially by NCC, the deadline to link your NIN to your SIM was for a period of 2weeks after which defaulters will be blocked.

But later on, the commission however extended the deadline to February 2021.

Due to this new development, MTN have now devised a quick and simple means on how you can synchronise your NIN to your MTN line.

How To Link Your NIN To Your MTN Number

Inorder to successfully link your NIN to your MTN line simply do the following.

• Simply visit the MTN official site at mtnonline.com/nim
• Quickly fill in your name, phone number, National Identification Number NIN, and Email address.
• After filling the necessaries, simply click submit.

Alternatively,

• Simply dial the USSD code *785# and follow the on-screen prompt.

NB: According to MTN, “NINs submitted here will be received as unverified, pending validation against the NIMC database. This means you may be required to re-validate this information in person, in the future”.
