Last month, Infinix and Tecno both launched a digital wallet app while partnering with Palmpay to offer mobile financial services to its mobile users. However, I will not be dwelling much about the app but instead, how you can get free 200MB from either apps.
Interestingly, the 200MB can be redeemed using any network in Nigeria. Initially you are given a 200 naira coupon which you can use for airtime top up or data top up and then free 200MB every Friday. Let’s see what’s needed to get this free data.
What’s needed

- Tecno wallet app (Download here)
Infinix and Tecno users should use the appropriate links to download their respective mobile app.

For those who aren’t using the aforementioned mobile devices, you can still try downloading the app, and follow the steps below to redeem the free 200MB. Even though this haven’t been confirmed by me, hopefully it should work for most phones!
How to Sign-up
Registering on the Infinix or Tecno wallet app is very easy. After downloading the app, open it and follow the steps below.
- After opening the app, click “Agree” to confirm to the terms and conditions of the app.
- The main menu of the app will now be opened. Now click on the “Me” icon in the bottom right corner of the app.
- Tap on Account Management
- You will then be requested to either login or register
- As a new user, put your phone number and then click on “Get code” located in the verification code section
- A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your number. After receiving the code copy and paste it into the verification code field
- Now tick the box below to agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy
- When done with this, tap the LOGIN/REGISTER button to finalize the registration process.

How to get free 200MB on either Infinix or Tecno wallet app
- After the registration, you will be given a free 200 naira coupon, in bits of ₦100 and ₦100
- Now go to the home tab of the app. Tap on buy airtime or data to redeem your 200 naira coupon
- Note that you will be requested to add payment method so just chose palmpay, add your phone number and tap get code. Once you confirm the code, you can now proceed with the airtime or data purchase
- For the free 200MB every Friday, always visit the app every Friday and click on “Free Data Day” to get the Free 200MB
What to take note of
- The 200MB data is given every Friday, while the 200 naira welcome bonus is given once to only new users. No accumulation!
- Even though the app is for only Infinix and Tecno phones, other phone brands (except iOS users) can still benefit from the freebie
- Make sure to visit the app every Friday to get the data as it expires after that Friday
